We are, by design, created for dependence. If Adam, before the fall, needed God – was dependent on Him, how much more are we dependent on our heavenly Father! Paul encourages the Corinthians and us that we experience trial and difficulties because we are dependent on the Lord. It is His design that in our struggles He is glorified as His power, life, and glory are manifested in us and declared to all who see and hear.
