Ministry Philosophy

Our youth groups are founded on the premise that God intends parents and the teenagers to work and grow together in these years—parents called to disciple, teens called to honor, each growing together in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What About Parents?

Parents are encouraged to be active participants along with their teenagers in both youth group ministries. In addition to our monthly corporate meetings, we host other special meetings throughout the year that we pray will give us a chance to grow in our relationships and build lifetime memories.

For more information about individual events, check out our schedule or consult the church calendar.

If you have any further questions about the ministry, please feel free to contact John McLeod who provides pastoral oversight for youth group.

High School Youth Group (HSYG) has two monthly corporate meetings, where God-glorifying worship, biblical teaching & application, fellowship, food, and fun all play a key part. We address the subjects that matter most to our high school teenagers and their parents, helping them to live out God's will for their lives.

We also ask parents/adults to help with the meetings. This includes help with setup, snacks, and cleanup. We encourage the teens to help, but it is beneficial having various adults sign up to be responsible.

7th & 8th Grade Discipleship is a ministry for students in grades 7 and 8 and meets Sunday mornings from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. They engage in lively teaching and discussion of the Bible and age appropriate books, addressing subjects and teachings that will help our middle schoolers grow in godliness and wisdom. Outside of Sundays, the youth group enjoys monthly activities organized by parents.
