Where Do I Start?

Here are some ways to learn more about Cornerstone Fellowship Church.

If you are considering worshiping with us or have already come a few times, you might be wondering how you can get to know the church a little better. Here are a few ways to do that.

Worship with us on Sunday mornings

Sunday morning is the central gathering of our church. It is where we worship and encounter God, hear the Word of God taught, pray, serve each other with our gifts, fellowship, and...drink coffee. We meet at 10am for about two hours. We encourage you to come in person, but our services are available on our Live Stream page. If you join us in person, it's normal for folks to stick around for the next hour or so talking or picnicking in the back yard.

Attend Cornerstone Connections

One the first Sunday of each month, we host Cornerstone Connections, a guest luncheon to help guests and newcomers learn more about the church and connect with some of its members and leaders. This is an informal, low-pressure event where we serve Jersey Mike's Subs and fixin's. It is a great time to ask questions or just get to know some folks. There is no sign-up or RSVP; just show up and we'll feed you. We typically start at 12:15 in the Multipurpose Room, across the Lobby from the Auditorium. We encourage you to attend multiple Guest Luncheons to help you get to know the church and to help you get plugged into one of our Small Groups.

Visit a small group

The Christian life is not meant to be lived alone. God calls us to be connected to other Christians in growing relationships, which become a key vehicle for our growth in the Christian life. Small groups, which we call "home groups" because they typically meet in people's homes, are a vital piece of this puzzle. These groups provide a context for us to practice the "one-anothers" of the New Testament, including serving one another, loving one another, and bearing one another's burdens. These twice-per-month gatherings typically include a time for singing, discussion, prayer, and fellowship around some food. Go here to learn more about where and when they meet.

Find a Small Group Near You

Ask questions

Many people in the church can answer questions you might have. If it's a Sunday morning, go to the Guest Information Area in the front of the lobby or ask an usher or volunteer. You can call the office (919-362-4420) during the week. Our pastors (elders) are also eager to get to know you and help you in any way we can. Whether it is advice about a problem, a question about the church or our denomination, or simply to talk about what God is doing in your life, we would love a chance to talk with you.

Participate in other ministry activities

Cornerstone has a number of ministries you can participate in. Some of these groups are dedicated to helping us grow (youth group, mens and women's meetings, Royal Rangers and Keepers for our boys and girls), and other ministries help us work together to serve others.

Attend an Exploring Membership Class

If you've been attending for a while and would like to learn more about the church, maybe it's time to sign up for one of our Exploring Membership classes. This five-week class runs three times a year (February, June, and October) and covers a lot of what we believe and practice. The goal of the class is not to pressure you into joining but to help you discern whether this is the right church for you. We welcome questions about what we believe and do as a church, and the elders teaching the class enjoy the opportunity to get to know those in the classes.
