Mercy Ministries

For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me. (Matthew 25:35–36)

Side by Side

Our overarching mission is to equip our church to walk alongside people experiencing the brokenness of poverty in ways that are transformational for both the materially poor and the materially non-poor. We do that through a variety of mercy missions administered both inside and outside our church.

There are two aspects to the pro-life ministry at here at Cornerstone Fellowship Church: CFC Pro-Life Ministry, and Hand of Hope. The CFC Pro-Life Ministry is designed to equip believers to positively influence the culture in defense of unborn human life. We meet this goal by meeting, praying, volunteering, and contacting our elected officials about important legislation. To get involved, please contact Daniel Baker.

A Hand of Hope Pregnancy Resource Center is a local non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope and help to women facing unplanned pregnancies. Opportunities to serve include fundraising, volunteering, help with service projects, and prayer (for descriptions of these opportunities, see (HOH Opportunities to Serve).

Safe Families for Children is a volunteer movement that connects the children of parents in distress with four levels of church support; host family, family friend, resource friend, and family coach. All support levels have opened their hearts, their arms, and their homes to serve those in need. The Safe Families experience starts at church, where families are invited to support a fellow family that is working towards greater stability, and to enrich their own life with untold blessings by living out the gospel. By hosting these vulnerable children along with support from the church, this extended family environment helps keep children safe, reunites families, and extends the love of Christ to people in need.

Western Wake Crisis Ministry
in Apex is primarily a food pantry but also provides emergency financial aid for some circumstances if funds are available to do so. They are open Monday – Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Donations are always welcome, but more active ways to serve this ministry include helping on site and organizing a food drive. Please contact WWCM Director Beth Bordeaux if you would like to volunteer.

The mission of With Love from Jesus (WLFJ) is to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in building the Kingdom of God by meeting practical needs. To help this ministry, we sometimes hold food drives, various groups at our church – Royal Rangers, Singles, Home Groups – have sent teams to help on site by hanging clothes, sorting food, moving furniture, etc., and some members of SGC are active in gospel outreach there. If you would like to help on site, please contact With Love From Jesus.
