From the time of King David there has been an official place for musicians and singers to lead God's people in the act of praising the Lord. Grateful to carry on that biblical example, Cornerstone offers a place for those who are skilled and have a desire to serve the body by leading the congregation as we offer “psalms, hymns and spiritual songs” to serve on the worship team.
Our goal is to serve the congregation in these commands; and we have a strong desire to distance ourselves from any incline of pride and performance. The psalmist tell us that the Lord is “enthroned upon the praise of Israel”—so our worship is only meant to exalt Christ!
- Leader: Christopher Scott
- Ideal Member: Musically skilled—either by gifting or training; Vocalists (male & female); Musicians with experience playing in a band; Familiar with songs from Sovereign Grace, The Getty's & similar.
- Service Schedule: Once per month on Sunday Mornings from 8:15-12:00 (that includes rehearsals) and/or other Special Events as needed.
- Team Training: There will be tryouts conducted by the team lead and if you meet the expectations you will be invited to participate in rehearsals and practices with the band.
